How it works
Simple, spelled-out terms
Free delivery and collection
We bring the car to you anywhere in the Cape Town area — hotel, home, office or the airport — and collect it again. Delivery and collection are currently free. Collection in person is from 17 Bromwell Street, Woodstock, Cape Town.
200 km per day included
Every rental day includes 200 km, pooled across your rental. Beyond that it is R5 per extra kilometre, settled on return.
A 24-hour day, with a 30-minute grace
Rental days run on a 24-hour clock from collection. Anything under 24 hours is one full day. Return more than 30 minutes past the agreed return time and an additional full rental day is charged.
Full-to-full fuel
The car leaves with a full tank of 95 unleaded and must come back full. If it does not, we charge the fuel cost plus an R100 service fee.
Refundable security deposit
R3 700 for South African customers, R5 000 for international visitors. It is separate from the rental price, paid before collection, and refunded within 3 to 7 days of the car being returned and inspected, less any applicable deductions.
Insurance access fee
The vehicle is covered by comprehensive business motor insurance, subject to the insurer's policy terms, conditions, exclusions and applicable excesses. An insurance access fee of R7 300 applies in the event of an insured incident, subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and insurance policy. This fee is separate from the refundable security deposit.
South Africa only
The vehicle may be driven within South Africa only. Cross-border and international travel is not permitted.

Insurance access fee
R7 300
An insurance access fee of R7 300 applies in the event of an insured incident, subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and insurance policy.
This fee is separate from the security deposit.
Refundable security deposit
A refundable security deposit is required before the vehicle is collected. The required deposit is R3 700 for South African citizens and R5 000 for foreign visitors.
The security deposit is separate from the R7 300 insurance access fee.

Can I drive to Stellenbosch?+
Yes. The vehicle may be driven anywhere within South Africa, so the Winelands are fine. Normal gravel roads are permitted; off-road use is not.
Can I drive to Johannesburg?+
Yes — travel anywhere within South Africa is allowed. Keep the 200 km per day allowance in mind, as extra kilometres are charged at R5 each.
Can another person drive?+
Only drivers approved by TOPZEE may drive the vehicle. Additional drivers must be approved beforehand and meet the same age and licence requirements.
What documents are required?+
A valid driver's licence held for at least 1 year, and your ID. International visitors need a valid passport, a valid driver's licence, an International Driving Permit where required, and an accommodation or contact address in South Africa.
Can I rent for one day?+
Yes. The minimum rental period is 1 day, charged at R680 for rentals of 1 – 7 days.
Can I extend my rental?+
Message us on WhatsApp as early as possible and we will confirm whether the dates are available — TOPZEE runs a single vehicle, so extensions depend on the next booking.
What happens if I'm late?+
Rental days run on a 24-hour clock from collection, with a 30-minute grace period. Returning more than 30 minutes after the agreed time adds one full rental day.
Can I smoke?+
No. Smoking and vaping inside the vehicle are not permitted.
Can I cross the border?+
No. The vehicle may be driven within South Africa only; cross-border and international travel is not permitted.
Is Cape Town Airport delivery available?+
Yes. We deliver and collect at Cape Town International Airport free of charge, as with the rest of the Cape Town area.
